Features

Everything your salon needs, in one app.

The appointment book, the receipt pad, the tab scribbled on paper and the calculator for staff pay – Makastam replaces the lot. On phone, tablet and computer.

Online booking

Every salon gets its own booking page. Put the link in your Instagram bio, your WhatsApp status or your Google Business Profile. Clients choose a service, pick their barber or stylist (or “anyone”) and only ever see times that are genuinely free.

Free slots are worked out from each staff member’s working hours, days off and existing appointments, so nobody gets double-booked. Online bookings land in your diary straight away.

The booking page follows your client’s browser language – English, German or Turkish – and you can share a link that opens in a specific language.

Clients who ring up or walk in go into the same diary. In the day view every staff member has their own column, so you can see who’s busy and when at a glance.

At 11pm a client books Saturday at 11:30 with Ali – cut and beard – through the link in your Instagram bio. When you open up in the morning it’s already in the diary, and the confirmation went out hours ago.

Tickets and quick sale

As soon as the client is in the chair, open a ticket. If they booked, the services are already on it. Every line belongs to a staff member: if Ali did the cut and Sam did the blow-dry, you see both separately.

Products like shampoo or wax go on the same ticket and come off your stock automatically. Tips are recorded separately and don’t count towards takings.

Take payment in cash, by card or by bank transfer – or split it, part cash, part card. On the touch-screen quick sale it’s service, stylist, pay: three taps.

Saturday, the shop’s rammed. On the tablet at the front desk someone opens quick sale: “Skin fade” → “Ali” → “Cash”. Ticket closed – next, please.

Staff commission, worked out for you

Set up how each staff member is paid once: a percentage of takings (different rates per type of service if you like), a fixed wage plus a bonus above a sales target, or chair rent. Commission on product sales, tips and who pays the card fee are all part of the rule.

Every time a ticket is closed, the stylist’s earnings are recorded line by line. If a ticket is cancelled or reopened, the figures correct themselves – nobody has to cross anything out. Advances are deducted too.

Close the pay period – daily, weekly or monthly – the owner approves it and each stylist gets a summary. No more “you’ve missed one off”: everyone can check every line on their own screen.

What it looks like in the salon

Ali is on 40% commission, did 6,200 worth of services this month and had a 300 advance. At the end of the month the screen shows 2,480 commission, 300 advance, 2,180 to pay – no calculator needed.

Till and expenses

Every payment taken during the day goes into the till by payment method. At closing time the screen tells you what should be in the drawer – you count up and compare.

Log expenses like rent, gas and electric, colour and supplies, wages or tax with a category. At the end of the month you can see what you made and where the money went.

End of day: 845 cash, 1,230 on card, one bank transfer. The 60 of colour bought at lunchtime is already taken off as an expense. Till closed in 30 seconds.

Tabs (pay later)

If a client doesn’t pay the full amount when the ticket is closed, the rest goes on their tab. No scraps of paper, nothing forgotten.

The tabs list shows who owes how much and when they last paid. When the client comes back, record the payment – or send a friendly reminder if you want.

What it looks like in the salon

Regular client Dan says, “I’ll sort you out at the start of the month.” When the ticket is closed, 40 goes on his tab – and at the start of the month he’s right at the top of the list.

Client profiles

A client profile holds contact details, past tickets, appointments, anything on their tab and your notes. For the stylist, the most valuable bit lives here: the colour formula, or instructions like “number 2 on the sides, scissors on top”.

Last visit and number of visits are tracked automatically. Clients who haven’t been in for a while can get an automatic “We miss you” message, and a birthday greeting – only if they’ve agreed to receive marketing messages.

Sarah comes back after two months. Her profile says: “7.1 + 6% developer, 35 min.” Even the new stylist gets the colour spot on.

Control over cancellations and discounts

Only people with permission can cancel tickets or give discounts, and never without a reason. Who, when and why – it’s all in the activity log.

If a closed ticket is later reopened or cancelled, the till and tabs are corrected automatically; nothing disappears without a trace. It isn’t about suspecting anyone – it’s about everyone being able to work with peace of mind.

What it looks like in the salon

In the evening you glance at the log: at 3:40pm reception gave a 20% discount, reason “regular client”. No questions left.

Roles and individual logins

Everyone logs in with their own phone number and password. Reception handles bookings and tickets, the accountant sees reports and expenses, and stylists see only their own day, their own lines and their own earnings.

Stylists can’t change prices, give discounts or get into the till. The till, salon takings and other people’s earnings are visible only to the owner (and to the manager, if you allow it).

What it looks like in the salon

Sam checks his phone in the morning: 6 appointments today and yesterday’s earnings. He can’t see what his colleagues took – and doesn’t need to.

Telegram reminders

A confirmation goes out after booking and a reminder a few hours before the appointment. Clients don’t forget, and you’re not left staring at an empty chair.

Messages go out free of charge from the Makastam Telegram bot – you don’t set up a bot or an account of your own. Clients connect once by tapping the link on the booking page, in their receipt link or one you send them, and can leave at any time by typing /stop. You edit the templates yourself. Marketing messages only go to clients who have agreed to receive them. WhatsApp sending is coming soon.

Tablet on the front desk, phone in your pocket, laptop at home – the same data everywhere, always up to date. The app is available in English, German and Turkish, and everyone sets their own language on their device.
