Frequently asked questions
I don’t have a computer – can I use it on my phone?
Yes. Makastam runs in your browser; add it to your phone’s home screen and it opens like an app. On a tablet or computer you log in with the same account – there’s nothing to install.
How do my clients book online?
Your salon gets its own booking link. Put it in your Instagram bio, on WhatsApp or on your Google Business Profile. Clients choose a service, a stylist if they want one and a free time; the appointment appears in your diary straight away. The booking page is available in English, German and Turkish.
Can staff see each other’s earnings or the till?
No. Staff log in with their own account and see only their own appointments, their own ticket lines and their own earnings. They can’t change prices, give discounts or access the till.
Which pay models does staff commission support?
A percentage of takings (with different rates per type of service if you like), a fixed wage plus a bonus above a sales target, and chair rent. Commission on product sales, tips, advances and who pays the card fee are all taken into account.
How do tabs work?
Whatever isn’t paid when the ticket is closed goes on the client’s tab. The tabs list shows who owes what, and you record the payment as soon as the client pays.
Do reminder messages cost extra?
Telegram messages are free: they go from the Makastam Telegram bot to clients who have connected. WhatsApp sending is coming soon – it will use your own WhatsApp Business (Meta) account, and you’ll pay the message costs to Meta. Makastam takes care of the templates and timing.
Is my data safe?
Each salon’s data is kept separate from everyone else’s, connections are encrypted and backups run automatically every day. You can export your client list to Excel whenever you like.
How much does Makastam cost?
Plans are based on the number of staff and billed annually. We’ll give you a price on request – drop us a line telling us how many chairs and staff you have.
What happens when the free trial ends?
For 14 days every feature of the Salon plan is unlocked, and we don’t ask for a card. Choose a plan afterwards and you carry on where you left off; if you don’t, the app is locked – but your data isn’t deleted.
Which languages is Makastam available in?
The app is available in English, German and Turkish, and everyone picks their own language on their device – handy for teams where more than one language is spoken.
