Data deletion instructions

1. Salon accounts (business owners)

To have your account and your salon's data deleted, email [email protected] from the email address registered on the account, with the subject "Account closure request". Include your business name and the phone number registered on the account.

Once we have confirmed that the request comes from the account owner, we close the account, delete the data and confirm by email. If any record has to be kept, we will say so in our reply.

If you want a copy of your data first, you can download your client list in the dashboard under Clients › "Export to Excel".

2. If you are a salon's client

Your appointment, receipt and client card details are kept by the salon you visited, in its own account. To have this data deleted, please contact that salon first.

If you cannot reach the salon, email [email protected] with the salon's name and the phone number you gave the salon. We will handle your request together with the salon and let you know the outcome.

Messages you sent to a salon's WhatsApp number are stored in that salon's inbox; you can ask for them to be deleted in the same way. You can remove your Telegram connection yourself by sending /stop to the bot.

3. Removing the WhatsApp connection (salons)

To disconnect your salon's WhatsApp number from Makastam, follow these steps as the business owner:

1. In the dashboard, open Settings › Message settings › WhatsApp.
2. Tap "Disconnect" and confirm.
3. Makastam's WhatsApp access token is deleted, the app's subscription to your WhatsApp Business account is removed and automatic WhatsApp messages stop.

Your number and Meta account stay with you in WhatsApp Manager. You can also remove the access from the connected apps section of your Meta Business settings. Earlier conversations in the inbox remain in your salon account until you ask for them to be deleted or the account is closed.
